Tour Program for 3 Days 2 Nights ASA Congress Post Tours to Kuching

Day 1 (23 Oct 08 - Thu) Arrival Lunch & Dinner
Arrival at the Kuching International Airport. Meet and greet. Transfer to lunch at a local restaurant. Spend the afternoon in this historical city with visits to the Sarawak Museum which covers the ethnology and natural history of the region and the Civic Centre for a bird’s eye view of the cityscape. Drive through Chinatown and browse the Main Bazaar. This is site of the original trade settlement where development incorporates the heritage buildings from the era of the White Rajahs and the British. View the Square and Round Towers, the Astana, the Postal Office and the cornucopia of stores which have given rise to a new name for the street – the arts and crafts bazaar. After the tour, drop off at the Holiday Inn Kuching. Check-in and leisure. (Dinner to be hosted by Secretaries’ Society Sarawak, an affiliate of MAPSA)


Day 2 (24 Oct 08 – Fri) Sarawak Cultural Village Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Breakfast at the hotel. Early depart for the Semenggoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. The reserve is the last green belt for Orang Utans and other small animals, so near the city. The Centre works with this endangered species to return them to their natural habitat. Feeding time is at 8am when most days, some Orang Utans will return for a meal as they may not be able to find enough food on their own. Transfer to lunch at a riverside seafood restaurant. Later transfer to the Damai Puri Resort & Spa. Check-in and leisure

An entrance voucher is provided for you to visit the Sarawak Cultural Village and explore at your leisure. The “living museum” showcases the seven major communities including the Iban, Bidayuh, Penan, Orang Ulu, Melanau, Malay and Chinese. Visit each house and learn the culture, traditions, crafts and games. There are daily music and dance performances at the Village Theatre at 11:30am and 4pm daily. Dinner at the resort.

Day 3 (25 Oct 08 – Sat) Departure Breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel. Leisure until your transfer to the airport for your flight back to Kuala Lumpur. Note :

  1. Confirmation of Bookings from Mayflower Acme Tours
    Each booking shall not be deemed to be confirmed until full payment is made and Mayflower Acme Tours shall have issued its confirmation in writing.
  2. Currency
    All rates are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), unless otherwise specified.
  3. Cancellation
    In the event payment are not received the booking shall be deemed cancelled and that Mayflower shall not be liable to any person in respect of such cancellation.
  4. Payment
    Payment shall be made to MAYFLOWER ACME TOURS SDN BHD, using one of the following modes:-

    4.1 Telegraphic Transfers

    After making payment, a faxed copy to Mayflower Acme Tours of the remittance advice obtained from your bank will also facilitate in the clearance of payment from our local bank.

    4.2 Credit Cards
    For payment by credit cards, the following details must be sent to Mayflower Acme Tours:-

    Cardholder's name as printed on the card, date of expiry, credit card number, a clear faxed copy (both sides) of the credit card and a written instruction (by the cardholder) authorising Mayflower Acme Tours to charge a stated agreed amount in Malaysia Ringgit to the cardholder's credit card account, and the signature of the cardholder.

    When making payment, please advise us our File Reference No.

    Payment by credit card shall attract a minimum 3% card charges based on amount transacted.
    5.1 Mayflower Acme Tours acts only as agents for transportation companies, hotels, car rentals and all other contractors/suppliers and finalized all arrangements upon the expressed condition that it shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, inadvertent errors in booking, delays generally or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of any defect in any vehicle, vessel or aircraft or through the acts or defaults, of any company or person engaged in conveying or accommodating passengers or in the carrying out of arrangements of the ground content, tours or otherwise in connection with its operations. To protect you, we require all clients to be adequately insured against the above mentioned liabilities.

    5.2 Mayflower Acme Tours will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the client/s as a result of the foregoing causes over which it has no control, such as war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of God or Government, broken machinery or equipment required as part of client/s' itinerary, or unavoidable events that caused the clients' itinerary unenforceable.

    5.3 In the unfortunate events where sections 5.1 and 5.20 must jointly or separately be observed, Mayflower Acme Tours shall not be held liable for any liability above and beyond the costs incurred in the provision of the services rendered.
  6. Booking Reply from Mayflower Acme Tours
    All bookings requested will be replied by fax and/or electronic mail within two Malaysian business days. If you do not receive any reply from us within this period, kindly re-send your request as the message could have been garbled or lost in transmission. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
  7. "No Show"
    In the event a client is a "No Show", no refund will be given.
    After commencement of tour, no refund, in full or in part, will be given for services included in the programme that are not utilised.
